Do your parents ever get mad at you for playing video games? Do they say things like "You play those things too much, your addicted!"? Well there is something you can do about that. It's called an Esport, or being a professional video gamer. You can make money by playing video games! Doesn't that sound awesome? I'm here to tell you things you can tell your parents when they complain about you playing video games to much.
First the fact that gaming has become so popular that it's starting to prove to be a real career. Some of the games that people play and make money off are: League of Legends, Starcraft, Counterstrike, Call of Duty, and DOTA. Imagine playing video games for the rest of your life and living off of it? In fact the winners of last years world championships in League of Legends won 1 million dollars for 5 people. Just imagine all the things you could do with a million dollars! And, that isn't even all the money that team won over the season. Esports have become so popular that they are broadcast all over the world. Here is a video explaining exactly what I mean.
If you show this to your parents I think they will understand that Esports aren't bad at all. They are the new generation of jobs and careers that are very easy to get into. So, what does this information mean to you? It means pick up that controller or mouse and turn on your system because you need to start practicing.
