Social Media

Do you have a cell phone ? laptop ? or even a computer at your house ? Chances are high that you do. You may like talking to your friends by texting on your phone or by emailing them on your laptop or computer. A very easy way to do this is social media sites they are an easy way to communicate with friends or just about anyone. I’m sure a lot of you have heard of some of the popular social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, or MySpace. These websites are becoming our future and will soon be used as a lot more than just talking to your friends. Think about what happens when you “like” something on Facebook you get to see all the posts of whatever you liked from then on.

Small businesses are using this and taking advantage of social media they spread they’re companies on these social media sites now instead of the old way like passing out flyers, giving out business cards, etc. another way businesses are using this is to potentially check out potential employees to see if they are fit to work for them. This is why you should always be careful of what you post online. It NEVER goes away. Someway somehow it can be brought up and this could maybe come back to bite you in the behind when trying to apply for a job in the future. So although it doesn’t seem like it someone is always watching you.

Although social media can be used to damage your reputation there is more good then bad that is being made from this for example through technology jobs have actually incorporated communication through this. They sometimes even have people work from offices strictly through social media. Or traditional media settings are now held through Skype or Facetime now and are a lot easier to this generation since all this is technology is like 2nd nature to you guys. The point I’m trying to get across through this is that social media is making a big come up in people lives and social life. It soon will be all we need. It will be our means of communication, shopping, and working. We may not even have to get out of bed and still technically be working a job. Social media is going to be really big in the future and should be recognized.
