Government Surveillance

Figure 1-
This picture shows a teacher trying to ease drop on a group of children’s conversation.
Throughout middle school have you ever had a teacher ask you about something they heard about you and you are shocked wondering how in the world would my teacher know this information? Well imagine that same situation happening but with every single person in the United States that has a cell phone or email account. Even though we try to keep some secrets, somehow information is always found out and I wonder how? One of our countries most important government agencies has been spying on the people of the United States. This will impact the children of the future because if the government is not stopped, it is possible that people will have police officers knocking at their door every time they make a negative statement against our government. A negative statement towards our government could be said through text, social media, e-mails, and phone conversations. As an informed young adult, I now know that it is illegal for the government to do this without probable cause because they are breaking our Amendments. The Bill of Rights are documents that further describes the natural rights given to every person that is a United States citizen. One of the Amendments states that the police cannot take any information from you without a document that says they are allowed to base on probable cause. This document is called a warrant. Future generations need to stand up to the government and elect new officials that can guide our government to increase our economy. We don’t want our children and even our children’s children to live in the United States when we owe trillions of dollars to other countries. I want my children to be able to live in a country where their money is truly worth something. In school you learn about our country and what the definition of democracy, a government by the people. After learning that meaning it should be clear to see that our government is abusing their powers and they need to be stopped. Our founding fathers created our government to be equal and fair for everyone yet it seems that our government is treating their people like criminals by watching them 24/7. One of the most important saying in the court of law is “your innocent until proven guilty,” but it seems that our government already thinks we’re guilty! YOU, OUR FUTURE GENERATIONS HAVE THE POWER TO STOP THEM SO MAKE A STAND AND FORM A FREE GOVERNMENT ONCE AGAIN!
